Danielle Van Gheem Danielle Van Gheem is a current sophomore from Mansfield, Pennsylvania, majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science. She is currently a reporter and an anchor for PSN-News. Danielle found her interests in reporting, while delivering her weekly current event articles for her history class. Later in high school, she developed this passion into becoming involved in her high school's video productions class. She joined PSN-News team her first freshman semester as a reporter and a videographer. Last summer she interned as a reporter at her local news station WENY-TV News in Elmira, New York. Alyssa Manware Alyssa Manware is a junior double-majoring in Broadcast Journalism and English. She joined PSN in fall 2009 as a sophomore and began shooting and editing b-roll. She started making packages in spring 2010 and anchored for Penn State Sports Night in that same semester. Alyssa started anchoring for the live broadcast for both sports and news in fall 2010. She would love to work for a network such as ESPN after graduating next spring. Alyssa is a student in the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. She is taking classes on sports broadcasting and sports writing to broaden her knowledge of sports information. She currently has an internship with Penn State Public Broadcasting in the Sports Department and is pursuing an internship with ESPN for summer 2011. Kelly Rule Kelly Rule is a sophomore from West Chester, Pennsylvania, majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in English. She is currently a reporter/videographer for sports and an anchor for PSN News. Kelly found her interest in reporting from consistently watching the news in high school, and having to stay up to date with current events for her classes. She joined the PSN Sports team her first semester at Penn State as a reporter and a videographer. She eventually got the position as a news anchor her sophomore year. Kelly loves the hands on experience of filming and reporting for sporting events, and being able to anchor on a live news show. Christian Heilman Christian Heilman is a freshman from the Pittsburgh area double majoring in broadcast journalism and management information systems. His interest in journalism began in the fourth grade when he anchored the news via a toy radio station at his house, and his interest only grew from there. Later, Christian became avidly involved with his high school's newspaper and television productions program. Once he came to Penn State, he joined PSN News during his first semester as a videographer and reporter. Jennfier Lee Jennifer Lee is a senior from Cliffside Park, NJ majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in English. She first started reporting and shooting for PSN News the fall semester of her senior year. Jennifer says that she knew studying journalism was her true calling after interviewing E.A. Kennedy, author of Life, Liberty, and the Mummers during her time at Penn State Abington. She was co-editor of The Lion's Roar at Penn State Abington, and wrote a number of feature articles for Montgomery County's local paper called The Ticket. Jennifer also had internships with WOR News Talk Radio and Fox 5 News. One of her most memorable moments during her internship was covering Michael Jackson's Life After Death Anniversary in Harlem. Scott Gimber Scott Gimber is a Sophomore from Glen Ridge, New Jersey, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Scott joined PSNTV in the fall of 2010. He began producing b-rolls and packages for the sports section of PSN News and Penn State Sports Night. He became anchor for PSN News in the spring of 2011. Dan Yesenosky Dan Yesenosky is a junior majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Kinesiology. He is the Vice-President of PSN, and has been the Sports Producer of the PSN News show, as well as the producer for Penn State Sports Night since the Fall of 2009. He anchors and hosts both of these shows, and has reported at various sporting events at Penn State. He interned with KDKA-FM 93.7 the Fan in Pittsburgh in the Summer of 2010 interviewing various professional baseball and football players. He is currently interning with Fantasy Sports 101 writing for Imaginarydiamond.com, and plans to intern this summer at a television station in Pittsburgh. He will also briefly be anchoring on PSN News this spring. Dan has applied to CCR and In the Game, and hopes to be a part of those classes in the fall, and step down from his positions at PSN. Erin Ryan From Collegeville Pennsylvania, freshman Erin Ryan is new to PSN-TV, but an old admirer of television production. She eagerly became involved in her high school’s newscast, taking on roles from studio crew to field reporting and anchoring as well as secretary and treasurer of the club in subsequent years. Erin also had the opportunity to co-host, direct, edit, and produce her schools’ annual comedic Q&A show, In the Hall, which aired every Friday throughout the duration of her senior year. She is now a student in the School of Communications, intending to major in film by her junior year. She joined PSN-TV in her first semester and has immersed herself in reporting/videographing opportunities. Her love for sports compliments her love for broadcasting, and she is happiest when practicing the two. Brittany Corl Brittany Corl is currently a junior at Penn State majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in sociology and political science. She joined PSN News her first semester as a reporter and videographer and also ran the teleprompter during the live news show. She is currently the Executive Producer for PSN News. Brittany will be interning this summer with Fox News in New York City. Her love for journalism started when she was in 7th grade when she took an interest to the daily news. In high school, Brittany was part of her school's live morning show, WSCH, where she anchored and ran cameras and boards. Ariel Siegelman Ariel Siegelman is a sophomore in the Schreyer Honors College potentially majoring in Film- Video, dual majoring in International Studies, and minoring in Italian. She joined PSN News as a freshman as a videographer and ran Server in the studio; she is currently the Director. She was inspired to pursue work in the media industry after watching a documentary on broadcast journalism, and she found her love for production through a video communications class in high school. She also wrote monthly articles for her local newspaper. While at Penn State, Ariel helped film THON 2010 as a part of the Entertainment THON committee and also became Director and Tech Director for PSN-TV's What's That Fact? Josh Fink Josh Fink is a junior from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in kinesiology. Josh joined PSN News in his sophomore year as a reporter and videographer, as well being the server operator in the studio. At the end of his sophomore year, Josh was promoted to news producer. Gina Feghali Gina Feghali is a sophomore from Stamford, Connecticut majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. Gina became interested in reporting her senior year in high school after working for her school's newspaper. Gina joined PSNTV News in the fall of 2009, and became shooting b-roll, reporting on stories, and editing packages using Final Cut. She is now a Co News Producer for PSNTV News after one semester of reporting. Aubert, PSN News Anchor Amy Aubert graduated from Penn State University in May 2010 and joined the 13WMAZ Eyewitness News Team in Macon, GA as a multimedia journalist in June 2010. She credits her extracurricular activites while in school for her growth as a reporter and anchor. She joined PSN News her sophomore year as a reporter, and later moved up to anchor. She says PSN News helped her to practice and understand what it takes to become an accomplished journalist. While at Penn State, Amy was the President of the Radio and Television News Director's Association, secretary of the College of Communications Student Council and had internships with NBC 10 in Philadelphia, The Comcast Network's CN8, and WJAC-TV in Johnstown, PA. Merrill, PSN News Anchor Chris Merrill is an anchor for PSN News. He joined the network as the VTR operator and a videographer freshman year. He began anchoring in Fall 2008. His interest in news dates back to the late 1990s, when he started to really listen to the news radio his mother had on frequently. In high school, through the school district’s TV station, he developed a love for television and it made sense to marry the two interests. Executive Producer Julie Knecht was the Executive Producer of PSN News from Spring 2008 through Spring 2010. She joined PSNtv her first semester as a videographer and server operator. She became the Executive Producer the following Spring. As Executive Producer, Julie was responsible for making sure that the show comes together each Monday including putting together scripts and rundowns. Her interest in broadcast journalism began when she was in the seventh grade when she began to watch the news daily. Julie has a major in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science. |

Hedges, PSN News Anchor Alli Hedges is a senior from Pottstown, Pennsylvania, double-majoring in broadcast journalism and political science. In high school, Alli was an anchor and reporter for her school news show, The Paw Report. She also participated in the KYW News Studies program in Philadelphia, PA. Alli first joined PSN as a freshman reporter and videographer, while also working in the studio with camera equipment and tapes. She volunteered in the studio for the Centre County Report and was president of her sorority, Kappa Delta. Last summer, Alli had the pleasure of interning at Fox News Channel in New York City. |

Erica
Sperber, Director of PSN News Erica Sperber has graduated with a degree in Film/Video and a minor in Labor Employment Relations. Her experience in film and television is broad. She worked with Major League Baseball Network before the launch of their network to help them set up to go live. She interned at FOX News Channel and FOX Business Network for 2 years in their Technical Operations Department and now works in the same department after she graduated. She interned for WPSU-TV in their Sports Production Department. She was the Videographer for Penn State Men’s and Women’s Varsity Gymnastics Teams where she shot home gymnastics competitions and created promotional videos for the teams. She was the Director of the Centre County Report for the College of Communications. She was the Producer/Production Manager and Art Director for her Senior Film “Iowa is Closed Today”. She was also the Associate Producer/Art Director for the film “Plural”. She worked on Sitcom 304, the first collaboration between the College of Communications and School of Theater in the Audio Department. As a member of PSNTV, Erica began as an Audio Engineer and Videographer for PSN News before moving up to the Director of PSN News and Sports Night. She was also Vice President of the network as well. |

Marshall, PSN Sports Anchor Brittany Marshall is a senior from Silver Spring, Maryland, majoring in broadcast journalism with a focus in sports broadcasting. She joined PSNtv in the spring of 2008 as part of the sports team. She has covered the football and baseball teams and produced b-roll footage for many other teams. She is currently a sports anchor. Her passion for journalism started at age 13, when she was a feature writer for her grade school newsletter. In high school, she wrote for the school newspaper and was an anchor for their daily broadcast. At Penn State, she is the President of the Penn State Association of Journalists for Diversity and the Diversity Chair of the College of Communications Student Council. She is a member of the John Curley School for Sports Journalism and the National Association of Black Journalists. She has had internships at WTTG FOX in Washington D.C. with the sports department, WPSU- TV Sports and Black Entertainment Television (BET). Grace
Muller, News Producer Grace Muller was the news producer for PSN News. She joined the network as a videographer and floor manager freshman year and became a producer the following semester. Her interest in journalism dates back to the fifth grade, when she started reading the newspaper every morning before school. She decided on a career in journalism before coming to Penn State after her hometown PBS station aired her package about a local program for high school students in foster care.
